Thursdaaaaaay

So today's blog comes in five parts.

Part One
Our power was out today, when we got home.  It was all dark and hot.  And awkward.  I kept hitting the lightswitches not thinking. XD So yeah.  We were about to go get some bottled water (See how prepared we are? XD) and the power cut back on.  Like my mom was looking under the house, my brother and I were outside, and my mom heard a click.  It was the AC. :D

Part Two
Appomattox Courthouse.
Did you know the surrender actually happened at a house NEXT to the courthouse?  I didn't.  Or at least I didn't remember.  Here's some pictures:
That's the courthouse.

That's where the actual surrender happened.

The desk thingy they used/would've use. (I saw the actual desk they used in the museum part :P)

Outhouse. XD My family is mature.

The jail cell.

Part Three
Red Hill.  Patrick Henry's last home.  You know him.  He's the guy that gave the "Give me liberty or give me death!" speech.  (XD I'm not sure what other states have to learn about all of this Virginia/National history)

Look at PART of this huge tree.  It's 300 years old.  It's the biggest of its kind in North America.  And apparently (according to my mom) I wrote a report on it in fourth grade. XD

He's in the treeee. ;D

In front of da tree.

He's climbing the tree. :)

Patrick Henry's grave.

The house is wayyy in the distance.

Part Four
Did you notice something blue in all of those pictures?  (No, not the sky XD)  It's my little elephant.  I got him yesterday, at CiCi's.  Yeah, his name is Harry.  And I've decided that I'm gonna take him to San Franscisco, and take pictures of him in front of stuff.  It's his journey. :)

Part Five
The last part (from now on) is gonna be YouTube videos.  Unless I can't put them on the iPod. :P

This one's a little different.

I cannot wait to see this movie. :)

Comment if you wanna.  "Harry's journey was awesome because..." :P

  2. Harry's journey was awesome because even though he's an elephant, he climbed that tree like a pro!
