Soooo... I actually liked Brooke from the start. Never seeing an R-rated movie, awesome. Later to find out she was LDS. (LDS FTW :D) If I had to name an audition that I remember actually watching on TV, it would be Brooke's. I thought she was so cool. And so once we found out her and David were LDS, those were the people I cheered on. My mom and I actually wanted it to be Brooke and David in the final two. But yeah. I was amazed by Brooke. And her awesomeness.
So I remember when she sang Here Comes the Sun. (I totally had to google the title. whoops :P) I remember because of her prettttty dress. And I don't think the judges liked it, but I loved it. I loved all of her performances.
The day she was voted off I was sad. She needed to be at least in the Top Three, so I was sad. But David was still there. That gave me hope.
Anyway, after Idol, I kinda lost track of Brooke. My mom had downloaded her first CD Songs From The Attic, and we listened to the car, but that was it.
Until I made my Twitter account.
When I went to David's profile (To follow him :D) I looked at his list to see if there was anybody I wanted to follow. And I saw Brooke. I automatically went and followed her.
When I started off, I didn't follow many people, so I read every tweet. Brooke tweeted about her new single being out. I went to iTunes and listened to the sample. Multiple times. And then I bought it. I then obsessively listened to Radio Radio for weeks.
And then I started to pay more attention to Brooke's tweets. And when High Hopes and Heartbreak came out, I was gonna buy it. Like I had helped my elementary school librarian with summer school, and on the last day (Which happened to be that exact Tuesday) she gave me a $25 gift card to Target. That made my day, because I had wanted Brooke, Demi Lovato, and Jordin Sparks' CDs. So I made my mom take us to Target and I planned to get Demi's and Brooke's CDs. But my mom kinda *encouraged* me to get the other two while she got Brooke's. So yeah. As soon as we got home, all of the CDs went on my iPod, and I really liked Brooke's. (I still dooooo.)
But for the longest time last summer all I listened to was Works for Me and California Song. I was obsessed with that song. I've reached over 1,000 plays on my iPod. :) So this year, when we decided that we are going to go California, I really wanted to go to LA. So badly. But we picked San Fransisco, so I hope that it will be fun there. I decided months ago that as soon as I get off that airplane, I'm gonna sing California Song. Loudly. In the middle of the San Fransisco airport. :) Be prepared, people that will be at the airport on the 25th. >:)
So anyway, after a while, I realized that I really like Brooke. I like her music, her personality, her awesomeness. So then yeah.
And then in like November, she had that webcast thing. That was awesome. When she answered my question I spazzed. And when she answered my friend's question too. :D
And then I realized (before or after that, I can't remember :P) that I needed to meet her. And she was going to be at that Teen Girl thing (I can't remember the name of that xD fail.) In DC. I begged my mom to go. But we didn't. But if we had gone I would've been able to meeeet Brooke.
And then she had those EPs come out, (Which I couldn't buy until my birthday, when I got lots of iTunes cards) And now I own every Brooke song on my iPod. And the Radio Radio video.
So Brooke is a big influence in my life for many reasons. But I think one really big reason is that she has the same standards as me. That really helps when your role model has the same standards as you.
Anyway, I really need to meet Brooke. So if/when she comes to Virginia... :D My mom already said that we would go. I think Brooke should do a charity thingy here in Richmond like she's doing in Utah tonight. (With Benton :D)
So when Brooke comes to Virginia I will be there, front row, cheering her on. Oh, and I'll be the one taking too many pictures. (That's what photographers doooo.) And then I would wait an hour or more to meet her.
So yes. I love Brooke and she's a perfect role model.
PS- I will meet Brooke. One day. I know it.PPS- If you wanna leave a comment start it with: "Brooke is awesome because...."
Thanks for reading, few people. You're awesome.
EDIT: I totally forgot this:
